Nina Maleika was inspired by her grandfather who was a cook for major liners on the sea. He gave her the name Maleika which means in Kisuaeli and in the Arabic language 'Angel'.
Raised as a product of an Egyptian immigrant and a German mother with afro-american and
African roots, she began at the age of 8 years to sing, to play the piano and to take
ballet lessons. Nina was absolutely sure that she would absolutely "like to become a singer". In song she could express the emotions for which there are not often words. After graduating high school and finishing the university Nina began her solo career. She lent her voice numerously for TV productions and advertising productions and worked as a studio singer and live singerfor international interpreters. In particular the young aspiring singer collaborated with the bassist and Jazz Legende who worked with John Coltraine… Sirone Nowag Jones. She took on the leading roles in many dramas for stage and screen being cited in the press for her work in "Das Fräulein niemand folgte". In 2005 she became the voice of the advertisement spot for 'Bacardi' and the song `Fly Away` which climbed the charts rapidly to the top 20 of the German dance charts. This year she toured with Roger Cicero on his Germany tour.
The tour took them to Mallorca where they worked with the famous team of producers at ‘Studio 33’, as well as for the recordcompany SonyBMG in Berlin.
